My husband and I cannot recommend Hans enough for the effort and help he has provided us with over the last 9 months, resulting in us buying our dream home! We met Hans after making a request on Zillow to view a house in late 2020, our then Realtor® was out of town and the seller's agent required potential buyers to be accompanied by a buyer's Realtor®. Luckily for us, Hans texted us immediately asking for our availability the same day, an hour or so later we met him and felt completely comfortable. We were impressed by his enthusiasm and knowledge whilst walking through the house. I had mentioned a couple of other houses we were interested in viewing and Hans offered to walk through those the same day! We were very grateful for his flexibility and initiative. After those viewings, Hans took the time to ask us what we wanted, where we were looking, and honestly got to know us a little better, which we valued very much since being first-time homebuyers, this was a huge and personal decision for us. Hans was also very sensitive to the fact that neither my husband nor I am from the USA and therefore needed extra guidance on the process. Through the first half of 2021, Hans accompanied us to tens of house viewings, being incredibly patient as we began to really get a feel and understanding of the market and local areas. We went through putting down 3 offers before being able to secure our new home! We learned a great deal through each of those bids and Hans walked us through how to make a competitive offer, and on two occasions we made it to the second round of bids despite having a below-average downpayment in an incredibly competitive market. The magic really happened for our new home in Melrose - multiple things aligned at once for us - we were able to meet the sellers and they liked us, however, they were nervous about our downpayment and they had much better offers. However, Hans was able to negotiate other terms with them and really advocate for who we are and how much we loved the house. Not only was our offer accepted but Hans immediately put us into contact with our mortgage broker and attorney - all of whom have been incredibly efficient through the buying process. Any time we needed Hans, he was there. We always had a debrief after failed bids which helped encourage us to continue. He would call to plan to view for the coming week and just to check in on us. We cannot sing his praises enough and we would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home!

When it comes to picking a Realtor® to help in buying your first home, experience matters, and Hans had the experience that we were looking for! We knew early on that we wanted a sharp agent who is on top of the market trends in our area. Hans took the time to get an idea of what we were looking for, by asking thought-provoking questions, and he was thoughtful in his recommendations. Never at any point did we feel rushed into attending open houses, but instead we were encouraged to take our time to figure out what we were looking for. He combs through the MLS every morning, and he made a point of emailing us new-to-market listings every day or two while giving his honest opinion on over and under-priced properties. Having in mind how fast the market moves, Hans offered to do 3-D video tours of the unique/fast-moving properties we were possibly interested in if we didn't have the time for a showing. Our first offer on our dream house was accepted (a home recommended by Hans the day it came on the market!) and we plan on living there for many years, and we're confident we're getting a fair deal. Our "new" home was built in 1922 and as expected with an older house, there were a number of little issues found with our inspection. Hans helped with arranging contractors on short notice to get us quotes before the Purchase and Sale agreement and he went out of his way to make trips to the Saugus town court to obtain building permits on our behalf. He was able to advocate for us and not let us make emotional mistakes in buying our first home. Hans ultimately helped us get a fair deal by using all of his resources to negotiate down from our original offer, making us much more comfortable and excited moving forward. One of our big questions, in the beginning, as if we would feel comfortable with Hans as our real estate agent? Hans proved himself to be smart yet humble, hard-working, thoughtful and has a laid-back sense of humor. He exceeded our expectations and we couldn't be happier- we'll definitely be recommending him to our family and friends!

I would highly recommend Hans to anyone looking to purchase a property. I just bought my first home and I have to say that Hans helped me out every step of the way leading to significant savings. From the get-go, Hans listened to what I was looking for in a home and continually focused on showing me properties that met my specific criteria. This was a huge time saver and also made the process more enjoyable because he only showed me homes that I was interested in and were in my price range. Hans made the home search fun due to his great sense of humor coupled with his detailed knowledge of the market. Hans left no stone unturned when it came to making sure that I got the best value for my money. We found Hans on Zillow when we first wanted a private showing. We chose Hans because of his great existing reviews. We were just testing the waters then and weren’t sure when we would be ready to purchase. Knowing this fact, Hans was still 100% committed to serving us and never gave us any pressure. He was always so patient and kind with us in showing us houses, and also gentle and friendly to our toddler. He thinks about our needs when going through open houses and gave us honest perspectives. After seeing a lot of houses, we were so sure that we might not even make a move for the next 3-5 years and felt bad for wasting Hans’ time (He never thought like that). And then, just like that, we found the perfect house in August! When we told Hans our last-minute interest, he drove up from Cape Cod the next day to help us see the house. There were close to 20 competing offers but Hans helped us navigate through. It was the first offer we ever made to a house and it got accepted, and we did not overpay for the house. We couldn’t have gotten it without Han’s knowledge of the market and his friendliness and proactiveness to all parties involved. Since the moment we saw the house we loved it and have now moved in for about a month. We are so thankful every time we think of this whole purchasing process. The law firm Hans recommended and the mortgage lender were both so great too. The price was very fair. The other people I shopped around for said I am wasting my time because they couldn’t beat their price. In the end, the whole team delivered exceptional service. Five stars all the way! We have purchased three properties from Hans over the last three months, and we could not imagine anyone who could have represented us better or looked after our interests in a more thoughtful way. Hans is extremely professional, knowledgeable, kind, and caring. He is also very efficient and follows through. Before you even think about an update on a certain matter, Hans has already texted you or emailed you with the information you needed. He understands the value of building relationships and does not change his behavior or level of service, no matter the property price-point. He is thorough, well-informed and has helped us make all the right decisions. He has even helped us rent out an investment property on time so that the tenant could move in on the same date as the closing date, hence, no time was lost. He is not afraid to roll up his sleeves when a challenge arises and is genuinely interested in his clients' satisfaction. My husband and I trust him 100%, and we now exclusively do all of our family business with Hans. We just closed on our new home in Marblehead yesterday, and Hans will now help us list our old apartment next week. Many experienced Real Estate Agents could often be overly confident, and they make you feel intimidated to even ask certain questions, but not Hans. We met Hans via Zillow for an initial property we were interested in and we explained very specifically what we were looking for. He actually warned us that this place might not be the best option for us. He followed up with other properties and after a lot of assistance, advice, and showing off various properties he helped us get our new place which for us the best of all the options we were considering. What sold us on Hans was his enthusiasm and energy to do whatever we needed to help us. This sold us on him over other agents with more years of experience. Hans helped us negotiate and purchase our new place and helped us negotiate a lower price in a tough market and all the details - lawyer, inspection, contractors, etc to make it work. As a result, we used him to help sell the condo we were moving out of and he organized all the cleanup, painting, staging, and presentation of our condo and it sold above our asking price after the first open house. He worked very hard for us, made himself available at any time, and was a great help. In summary, we would gladly work with him again in the future. We have met a lot of real estate agents over the years and obviously, it is their job to sell the properties people are interested and some tend to oversell or do a hard sell that we find very off-putting. Hans does this a little bit, but he did it based on understanding what we wanted and he is easy and open to talk to which actually helped us commit to an obviously big life event and change for us. We are really happy in our new place and how everything has gone for us.
